In this workshop, students will learn the basics of relief carving and printing using blocks and relief gouges. Students will see examples of various works from different artists, experiment with carving and inking a block, and create an edition of their own prints. They will also have the chance to use an etching press and work in a print studio. 

Students must be 18+ and comfortable using sharp, carving tools.

Must be comfortable standing for some periods of time.

Whether you're new to printmaking or looking to refine your skills, this course will guide you through creating custom handmade prints. Leave with a set of your own prints to take home.
