Knotting Memories: Photo Embroidery

This workshop invites participants to explore how they relate to their memories and how these have shaped their sense of self. The focus is on personal meanings, experiences, and moments that remain present through memory. Through guided reflection, participants will learn the technique of embroidery on paper. By stitching onto the image, they will highlight, obscure, or alter elements of the photograph, creating a textile narrative that reflects their relationship with memory and how the past continues to inhabit the present.

Knowing and Feeling: Funds of Knowledge

This workshop invites participants to explore their life histories through the knowledge, skills, and experiences they have developed within their families and communities. Using textile narrative practices, participants will create stitched representations (objects, words, gestures) of their funds of knowledge as bodies of skills, traditions, and values learnt at home. making visible the knowledge that has been woven throughout their lives.
