Intro to Letterpress

Discover the art of letterpress printing in this hands-on introductory class! Learn the basics of handset type, inking, and printing techniques using traditional letterpress equipment.

Whether you're new to printmaking or looking to refine your skills, this course will guide you through creating custom handmade prints. Leave with a set of your own prints to take home.

Beginners welcome! All Supplies are provided by the Peoria Art Guild. 

Payment plan available: $30 deposit plus 3 payments of $30.00, paid weekly.

Children's Clay Handbuilding

4-Week Course

This fun and creative class introduces children to ceramic hand-building techniques using low-fire clay. Students will meet once a week for one hour and learn basic skills using simple tools, clay, and water. During the final week, class time will be extended by 30 minutes to allow students to glaze their finished work. All pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup after firing. No prior experience is required, and all materials are included.

Color Theory

This 4-week class is designed for artists who want to deepen their understanding of color and explore how it functions within their own artwork. Through guided studies, discussion, and studio time, students will gain practical tools for making more confident and intentional color choices.

Week 1: We'll begin by creating color studies and examining how various artists use color in their work.

Weeks 2-3 : Students will focus on developing their own artwork, applying concepts from the first session with individual guidance.

Week 4 : The class will conclude with a supportive group critique and discussion of each artist's work.

Students are encouraged to bring personal works in progress to develop throughout the course. 

Basic paper, watercolor, and acrylic painting supplies will be available at the Guild. You are also welcome to bring any preferred materials or specialty tools you enjoy using.
