Earrings, pendants, and bookmarks… just some of the things you can make out of sheet metal. Whether a simple style is more your taste or if you want to explore organic forms, the possibilities are endless. Piercing metal is fun and a great way to be introduced into the medium.

Printmaking Open Studio 

Join us for flexible open studio printmaking experience! Designed for experienced printmakers, these sessions allow you to work independently in our fully equipped print studio.

Requirements:

Must be 18 or older

Prior experience in a print studio OR completion of a Peoria Art Guild printmaking class

Familiarity with printshop equipment and clean-up procedures

An experienced printmaking monitor will be on-site to assist with questions.

$10 per session covers materials like ink, paper, and studio access.

Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration through the Peoria Art Guild Website is encouraged.

Relief Printmaking

Instructor: Angela Risinger

Department: Printmaking

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of relief carving and printing using blocks and relief gouges. Students will see examples of various work from different artists, experiment with carving and inking a block, and create an edition of their own prints. They will also have the chance to use an etching press and work in a print studio.

-Must be comfortable using carving tools
