Introduction to Sashiko Embroidery at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie

Sashiko stitching is a Japanese embroidery technique that is easy to learn and beautiful to stitch. In this class you will make a sampler of traditional stitches. Included is a denim fabric and Sashiko thread.

Relief Printing

Instructor: Angela Risinger

Department: Printmaking

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of relief carving and printing using blocks and relief gouges. Students will see examples of various work from different artists, experiment with carving and inking a block, and create an edition of their own prints. They will also have the chance to use an etching press and work in a print studio.

-Must be comfortable using carving tools
